Humanity was never meant for one world
The Colony Ship series follows two branches of humanity as they meet across the dark of space. One is a crew from Earth, sent to investigate a strange phenomenon approaching the solar system. The other is far older, the survivors of an advanced human civilization searching for a new home.

What begins as an encounter becomes a reckoning. Woven through it are the old stories, Greek and Norse, and the question the series keeps circling back to: how fragile is human existence when it clings to a single planet, and what must we become to outlast it.

The Forests of Mars continues the story that began in Colony Ship. Survivors of an ancient, advanced human civilization search for a place to call home, while a crew from Earth sets out to investigate a strange phenomenon nearing the solar system.
